Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha accused Albanian President Bajram Begaj of trying to drag NATO to the corruptive affair of the port of Durrës, which he called “Europe’s biggest corruptive affair”.

“The Port of Durrës is Europe’s biggest affair today, worth at least €5 billion”, Berisha said in the meeting of the Democratic Party parliamentary group today.

“What did you understand from the visit of the President of the Republic at NATO Headquarters? The request to drag NATO in the corruptive affair of transferring the port of Durrës in Porto Romano”.

“I declare to NATO that this party that was the promoter of the country’s accession to the Alliance is ready to offer NATO every facility in the country, but I warn them to be cautious of this Mafioso political organization that is transferring the port with the only intention of looting at least €5 billion through projects with offshore accounts”.
