Albanian Premier Edi Rama has accepted his failure in keeping an electoral promise concerning the highway that connects Tirana with Elbasan.
Fax News reporter Ambrozia Meta, famous for her debate with Rama a few months ago, asked him if his government would finish the highway in the promised deadline, which is tonight at midnight. With a dark face, Rama responded that was a rhetorical question, which means the road won’t be finished in the promised date.
Ever since coming to power in 2013, Edi Rama has promised several times that the remaining kilometers of the highway would be constructed soon.
Tens of millions of Euros have been invested repeatedly in certain segments of the road, and yet it’s not finished.
By the other hand, many government officials, including former minister Damian Gjiknuri have been allegedly accused for illegal profits and corruptive affairs related to the highway.
