Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha challenged Premier Edi Rama by inviting him to assemble the parliament on Thursday and pass the law on the raise of salaries and pensions.

Speaking to media reporters in a press conference today, Berisha said Rama lied with his promise of raising salaries and pensions so he decided to invite him to pass the law in the parliament.

“I had promised not to deal with his coprolalia and focus on the problems his regime has caused to our citizens instead, but I am here to cut the legs of his unscrupulous deception for the salaries and pensions”, said Berisha.

“For the first time ever in ten years, after it became clear that the freezing of salaries and the terrible raise of prices plunged Albanians in scary poverty that made them leave the country, Edi Rama decided to make a number of promises for raise of salaries. Among other things, he introduced a bill in the parliament for the increase of the average salary to 900 Euros. The truth is he also blocked the same bill in the parliament in a shameful agreement with Alibeaj; he shut the parliament and did it only because that promise was a fraud. I am here on behalf of the Albanian citizens to urge him to assemble the parliament on Thursday and pass immediately the law on the increase of salaries and pensions”, said the former Prime Minister.

“Laughing at people that cannot meet ends by luring them with empty promises is a cynical act and when one does it in the electoral campaign it is an electoral crime”.

“So, I invite Edi Rama, let’s pass the law together. I have no intention to work with him, because he has proved himself a foe of Albanians, but I would do it in the interest of the citizens. Thursday is the day of truth for his promise. I guarantee the citizens that all our votes will go for the law on the increase of salaries and pensions”, Berisha promised.
