Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta urged for a full investigation of the Edi Rama-Charles McGonigal affair. Meta shared the reaction of the former chief of the VOA Albania Frank Shkreli who called the scandal as a “knife to the heart of the Albanian-US relations”.

The former Albanian President wrote a full investigation in both the United States and Albania is a must in order to protect the relations between two countries from the illegal influence and corruption.

“The strategic alliance of Albania with the United States will only get stronger by putting before the law the abusers and the corrupt whoever they might be”, wrote Meta.
