Kosovo’s acting President Vjosa Osmani said in the meeting with Albanian President Ilir Meta that the mini Schengen Pact is an initiative that is going forward among Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia. Osmani said in the joint press conference with Meta she hopes to convince Premier Edi Rama that this project is favorable to Albania and Kosovo.

“I made know my position to Premier Rama during his visit in November and I will repeat it tomorrow. There is hope to convince the Prime Minister that this project makes no favors to Kosovo and Albania. Unfortunately, he (Rama) convinced (Kosovo Premier) Hoti to sign. I request to see the document. We only talk, but we have no document telling what this mini Schengen pact is. This is wrong. This initiative did not involve Kosovo from the beginning, Kosovo has not been consulted. There are other initiatives that, against the international support, Serbia has not complied with”, Osmani said.

“We have extended the hand of cooperation to the whole region, Serbia included that has not apologized for the committed crimes. We require equal involvement. From what we seen in the media about the mini Schengen, Serbia is more advantaged than Albania and Kosovo”.
