Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha has remembered today Giovanni Falcone, a distinguished figure of the Italian justice that was assassinated by Mafia today 28 years ago and was transformed into a symbol of justice.

“Giovanni Falcone is an inspiration for every magister committed to the real justice and the progress of their country. The punishment of the political corruption and electoral crimes of the men in power in collusion with the organized crime are the conditions for Albania’s EU integration”, Basha tweeted, responding to a post of EU Ambassador to Tirana, Luigi Soreca.

“28 years have passed since the mafia killed Giovanni Falcone. But not his example, his moral commitment, his ideas. The men pass, the ideas remain. Their moral tension remains, and they will continue to walk on the legs of other men”, Soreca tweeted.
