Albanian President Ilir Meta reiterated today his determination to demolish the “coup d’état” and said the biggest danger to the country comes from the plague that calls itself Renaissance. Meta spoke to media reporters only a few minutes after filing a criminal lawsuit against Minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj at the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution (SPAK).

“Defending the Constitutional Court is today a duty above all duties for any patriot and honest Albanian and the main task of the President. There has never been a more serious event in the country’s history than this Mafioso act”, Meta said.

The President added the Ministry of Justice attempted a coup d’état by impersonating a competence granted only to the President by the Constitution, “aiming the creation of a Constitutional Court that would function like an anti-constitutional police to violate the rights of the Albanian citizens in the future”.

 Meta also repeated his invitation to the Albanian citizens to join him on March 2 and make it clear they are with the Constitution, not with the President, also that the biggest threat to the country comes from the plague that is called Renaissance.
