The Constitutional Court is assessing the request of Albanian President Ilir Meta over the annulment of the project for the National Theater, which the government plans to pull down and build a new one along with a commercial complex in its place.

The Constitutional Court announced the assessment of Meta’s request will be made behind closed doors and will give an opinion by January 22, 2020. It has given January 22, 2020 as a deadline for the parties to introduce any requests they may have.
