Albanian Premier Edi Rama is in panic after has been caught rigging the elections even when racing alone, without competition from the opposition that boycotted the local elections of June 30.
At least 11 municipalities result with overfilling of ballot boxes where the number of ballot papers is higher than the number of the voters.
For that reason, Rama has ordered the Central Electoral Commission to justify the manipulation by saying the data are still unofficial and inaccurate.
Despite the low participation in the one-party elections, the number of voters in the country was reported three hours after the closure of the polling stations, while in all the previous elections the number of participants has been reported 30 minutes after the closure, never three hours later.
