Former Socialist MP Koço Kokëdhima, once a close friend to Albanian Premier Edi Rama, has commented the beginning of the trial process against former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri, calling for investigation over the Prime Minister as well. Kokëdhima said Rama must be investigated as the head of the drugs cartel that was installed in Albania during Rama’s governance.

“The Court for Serious Crimes decided to send to trial the voluminous dossier against the former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri”, Kokëdhima, a well-known publisher writes. “For three years, Zgjidhja (Kokëdhima’s new party) has requested Edi Rama’s resignation, because he is the model of the Prime Minister that intervenes personally, pressuring on every judge and prosecutor. He must be investigated because he led the drugs cartel along with Tahiti”.
