Greek historian Antonis Liakos has told Efsyn.gr he was present in Bularat, the Greek-populated village in southern Albania, when the incident between the Albanian police and Kostantinos Kacifas took place. Kacifas opened fire to the Albanian police and was later shot dead by the special forces. Some Greek portals wrote Kacifas was irritated because Albanian police took down the Greek national flag he had planted, but professor Liakos said no Greek flag was taken down by anyone.
Mr. Liakos said a Greek young man had blocked the culture center of the village before the ceremony for the anniversary of Greece entering WWII against Italy, shooting with an AK47 machine gun. Kacifas left after the intervention of police, which chased him with calls to surrender, but apparently he did not obey and was eventually killed during the shootout.
The Greek professor said no Greek flag was taken down and the security measures by the Albanian party were correct.

Respekte o fqinj i nderuar, nje sjellje dhe qendrim i denje per nje profesor.
