The Albanian Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) will decide on Fredi Beleri’s fate, the Mayor-elect of Himara who is still in custody after being arrested last Thursday on suspicion of being involved in electoral corruption. The arrest took place immediately after Premier Edi Rama accused him live on television of buying votes and threatened he would deal with him personally.

Sources close to SPAK, the Special Structure against Corruption, said the case file from the Court of Vlora is still to arrive. Once it arrives, a draw will take place for the judge that will judge Beleri’s case.
