President-elect Ilir Meta voted today accompanied from his wife and oldest daughter, who voted for the first time.

After the vote, Meta told media reporters he has no message who the Albanians should vote for, but what they should NOT vote for:

"Today must be a celebration of democracy, the day of the citizens, because it is the citizens that speak their words today and they must be heard”, Meta said.

“I have no message who the Albanians should vote for, but who they should NOT vote for. They should vote against anyone who pressures on their will and freedom. They should vote fiercely against anyone who seeks to buy their future, because Albanians today must show that their freedom and dignity has no price, that their future and their children’s future are sacred”.
