Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said today the Albanian opposition will demand again the creation of a parliamentary inquiry commission on the Rama-McGonigal affair.

“In addition to the inquiry commission for the mayoral elections we will request a commission for the investigation of the activity of McGonigal in Albania”, Berisha said in his weekly press conference today, referring to the former FBI senior official Charles McGonigal who was paid by persons close to Albanian Premier Edi Rama to lobby against the Albanian opposition in the United States while he was still working with the FBI.

“Of course, Edi Rama has diplomatic immunity, but his case will never close. Let him engage all his buddies, with Alex and George (Soros), he cannot escape punishment from the US justice”.

Berisha explained the new demand for the parliamentary commission is based on the new developments of the case in the United States where the attorney has requested the merge in one of the New York and Washington DC accuses.
