Former chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha defended his thugs that violated the Democrat MPs of his faction that were against the immediate opening of the race for the head of the party. Seven MPs were abused and assailed physically by Basha’s henchmen, but he said it was only a constructive debate.
“The spirit of the constructive debate with which the Democratic Party leadership debated for over eight hours to find better ways in the function of the Democratic Party reorganization is a clear sign of a deep reflection that has started inside our political family”, Basha wrote.
“There is nothing more democratic than various thoughts in a political forum. Debates and the diverse thoughts must be respected by all. The democratic values that lead us in this difficult journey for us Democrats should not be threatened by any individual. I reject and condemn strongly every effort that feeds the old political culture of mudding and blackmail, with which we have separated for good and must be left behind”.
