Fredi Beleri, an opposition mayoral candidate in Himara, has been arrested on Thursday evening over charges of buying votes for Sunday’s election. The candidate of the coalition Together We Win was arrested by police in his bar in the town’s promenade along with two other persons. Beleri’s arrest was anticipated by Premier Edi Rama who said during a live interview on television that “Beleri is a miscreant and I will deal with him personally”.
