Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta was among the first politicians to react immediately with indignation against Edi Rama’s government after the news that Kosovo government decided to grant a €100 monthly aid to pensioners to help them afford the cost of living. “What about Albania”, asked the former President of the Republic.

“After North Macedonia, the Government of Kosovo also takes concrete steps to support the layers in need to cope with the crisis of rising prices and high inflation”, Meta wrote on his Facebook page. “An additional 100 Euros will be the amount that will benefit pensioners in Kosovo during the month of October. What about Albania? The help of Rama’s Government for pensioners is not even equal to a coffee per day, because it wastes and steals the money for waste incinerators and concessions, in  a time when life has become unaffordable to Albanian pensioners”.
