The Committee of Experts lifts restrictions related to Covid-19, masks and vaccine certification no longer mandatory

The Albanian Technical Committee of Experts for the Covid-19 pandemic has lifted some of the restrictions related following the drop in the number of the cases in the country. The situation has been stable in the last 13 weeks and the level of positivity has been 3% in rapport with the tests performed in 24 hours. The number of hospitalizations also has dropped, however the Committee of Experts called for caution and continuing with the vaccines for several categories of people, such as the fourth dose for persons over 60 or with weak immunity.

Wearing masks will no longer be mandatory, but it is recommended indoors and rooms with inadequate ventilation.

Music and night bars will be allowed after 23:00.

Also, people entering Albania as of May 1 will not need to show a vaccine certificate or a negative test.
