Honorable Acting President,

The celebration of the 13th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo gives me the special pleasure to convey to you and through you all the citizens of Kosovo, the warmest and fraternal wishes.

I take this opportunity, on this important day not only for the citizens of Kosovo but also for all Albanians everywhere, to salute the extraordinary efforts and achievements so far in building and consolidating institutions, bringing more stability and prosperity to Kosovo, as well as turning it into an important factor of cooperation, for peace in our region.

Albania will always be close to Kosovo in all future challenges, convinced that the political prudence and state responsibility demonstrated during these 13 years of Independence, will continue to accompany further efforts for the consolidation of the state and the coronation in the near future of liberalization of the visa regime, as well as for the advancement of the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of Kosovo.

The elections held a few days ago in Kosovo showed political prudence and maturity of the citizens of Kosovo, as well as gave an example of democracy in how elections should be held and their result respected.

I wish that the creation of new institutions resulting from the results of the last elections, be as soon as possible, in the interest of the citizens of Kosovo and progress in the country's integration processes.

The fraternal cooperation and Strategic Partnership between Albania and Kosovo, deserves to be strengthened and concretized in all areas, in particular, to give an opportunity and perspective to as many young people as possible to build their secure European future, in our countries and to stop depopulation.

Albania is determined to defend the independence, territorial integrity and the decision of the International Court of Justice for Kosovo. With best wishes for this day marked for the Republic of Kosovo, please accept, honorable Madam President, the expression of my highest consideration.
