Former head of the Institute for the Studies of Communism Crimes and its Consequences Agron Tufa has filed a penal lawsuit against Socialist MP Spartak Braho and former Albanian Ambassador to US Fatos Tarifa.
A few days ago, Tufa and his family sought asylum in Switzerland after repeated threats related to his work. His lawyer Kujtim Cakrani said his client has been threatened by the administration and other persons.
“They have reactivated and have been muddling Mr. Tufa, accusing him of funds embezzlement, abuse of office and falsification of history. Tufa left because he had a strong motive, his family was threatened”, Cakrani said.
