Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha met with the Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Milanesi today in Tirana, expressing him the Albanian opposition’s concern for the serious damage to the standards of democracy caused by the government, which is responsible for slowing the process of Albania’s European integration.

After expressing his gratitude for Italy’s help in the last three decades, the opposition chief asked the strategic partner’s support for reinstating the rule of law through the fight on criminality and drugs traffic.

The Democrat chairman said it is necessary for peace and stability in the region to work for making the borders useless instead of changing them.
