Members of the Albanian community abroad have started the second day of their protest in front of Premier Edi Rama’s office in Tirana.
Albanians who live in foreign countries and have returned for the winter holidays have rallied against the government despite the permission was refused by the Tirana police department.
Residents of the area known as Bregu i Lumit have joined the protest today, just like students and residents of the Astir area did yesterday.
The residents of Bregu i Lumit and Astir have been protesting against the government plans to pull down their houses to make space for the new city ring road project. Students have been protesting for lower tuition fees and better infrastructure and quality of teaching in the public universities.
