Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha repeated today the Mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako is the first among government officials that must be arrested for the crime of stealing the votes in collaboration with criminal gangs and warned the chiefs of the prosecution offices not to damage the evidence.

"Now it’s clear to everyone that Edi Rama had a well-thought plan to steal the elections in collaboration with criminals”, Basha writes. “A special and independent inquiry over this criminal operation is necessary. Vangjush Dako is the first that should be taken as defendant. Leaving him free is a destruction of democracy and the death of justice. I’d like to remind to (prosecutor) Donika Prela and (General Prosecutor) Arta Marku that damaging the evidence and the manipulation of the investigation of the electoral crimes of Dako, Balla, Gjiknuri, Tahiri and others is a heavy criminal offence for which they will be held accountable. When the prosecution defends the crime, the state has fallen”.
