Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha met the workers that protested in front of the parliament house today, requested their unpaid wages for the last 16 months. Basha met the protesters before entering the today’s session in the parliament, telling them the Democratic Party (PD) and he were familiar with the problem and blaming it on the government’s corruption.
“PD and I know your problem. It is a direct consequence of corruption of Premier Rama and minister Gjiknuri. You know that the contractor company has left a guarantee at the Albanian state. That is more than enough for the state to pay you after that crook company left”, Basha told the workers.
“The payment has not been made because there is corruption in the government. We’ll do our best so that you can take your deserved money. I appreciate your protest”.
The workers that have constructed the by-pass of Fier and Vlora have not been paid for nearly a year and a half and protested in front of the parliament house holding banners requesting their money.
