Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha condemned the terrorist act against the chairman of the party branch in Vau i Dejës, north Albania. A quantity of explosive was planted in Bernard Ndreca’s car and set off in the Tuesday morning. No casualties were reported. Berisha said this is a serious act of state terrorism.
“A serious act of state terrorism against Bernard Ndreca, Democratic Party chairman for Vau i Dejës, took place today in the morning, in an attempt to eliminate him physically”, said Berisha.
“Benard Ndreca is a model citizen, and so is family. State terrorist have been captured on camera while planting the explosive in his car. Bernard was off to work and after only a few meters drive a terrible explosion destroyed the anterior part of his car. Fortunately, he was unharmed by this genuine politic life attempt”.
Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama as the instigator of the terrorist act.
“With this terrorist act, Edi Rama inaugurated the opening of his electoral campaign. This constitutes an ugly crime, an unprecedented act in the history of elections with an attack for the physical elimination of a top functionary of a Democratic Party branch”.
