Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said today his third return as the head of the government will be his most successful.

In an online conversation with his supporters, Berisha compared his return to that of the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs who “after being ousted from his enterprise, returned and gave iPod, iPad, and iPhone to the world”.

“A third return would have peaking moments, all in the Albanians’ interest”, said Berisha.

“Thanks to the economic reforms we made, we were able to leap from the group of countries with the lowest incomes to the group of countries with high average incomes. We managed to be the most paid people in the Balkans, even more than Romanians and Bulgarians. Our goal was to reach Slovenia, because they have salaries closer to EU countries”.

“No country in the Balkans, neither Slovenia nor Serbia has Albania’s fabulous wealth. In this context, it is the government’s duty to transform this wealth into welfare, salaries, pensions, prosperity and progress for the citizens. I am confident in reaching these goals”, promised Berisha.

The Democrat leader was Albania’s first post-communist President in 1992-1997, then he returned to power leading the country as Prime Minister from 2005 to 2013.
