Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta promised to youth that half of the places in Tirana’s new City Council after the upcoming local elections will belong to them.

The former President of the Republic said the Municipality of Tirana will be the main municipality the opposition will intend to win.

“Tirana will be the main battleground. If change does not start from Tirana, where will it start from, with all the due respect to the other regions of the country”, said Meta.

“There are municipalities in Albania where there are more teachers than students and they keep their jobs only for pity. The young people will have their powerful voice in the City Councils”.

Meta added it’s the due time to keep the youth in the country and fight the massive exodus to EU countries.
