Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha, now Chairman of the Democratic Party, got a rock star reception in Lazarat, southern Albania, during his tour in the south of the country where he has met with party members and supporters. Lazarat has been a Democrat stronghold in the south ever since the early days of political pluralism in Albania and for that paid a high price soon after current Prime Minister Edi Rama came to power in 2013.

The area residents reserved an extraordinary reception for the opposition leader.

Berisha warned Premier Rama he will never get the better of the Lazarat inhabitants and promised to do all his best to help them.
