Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha spoke to media reporters about Albanian Premier Edi Rama’s warning that the country risks an increase of energy prices.

After a meeting of the Democrat parliamentary group, Basha asked a number of questions to Rama, adding the Democratic Party will not back off but will confront the setback.

“We just finished a meeting of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, focusing on the energy price and the crier’s warning”, Basha told media reporters. “I’d like to remember here that Rama promised to lower the energy price, but he raised it instead, for families and businesses alike. I ask what happened with the energy reform? Where did the money gathered from the citizens go”?

"This happens because of his bad governance, cold-blooded criminal decision-taking. The money intended for the reduction of energy price was used by him to enrich himself and a group of oligarchs”.

Basha said the crisis is not imported from abroad, but created in the country due to the bad governance.

“We want to show Albanians that there is solution with a responsible government. We encourage and support any form of the people’s reaction”, Basha said.
