Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party Edi Paloka said Edi Rama should have stepped down instead of Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj.

“For us, Rama should have been gone since long ago. He wouldn’t have fired Lleshaj if it wasn’t for this revolt. That’s why he waited for three days”, Paloka said for Çim Peka Live show on Syri TV.

The Democrat vice chairman said Rama is the main culprit for the low level the State Police have fallen. “There is only one thing Rama can do, but that will happen on April 25”, said Paloka.

He insisted PD has not organized the protest and it is similar to protests of 1991.

“It was organized in the social networks. There’s no organization from us. The same thing happened in 1991, when the citizens poured to the streets unorganized, one group pulled down some slogan, another protested, another one burned the shop Flora (where Enver Hoxha supposedly passed his days in illegality during the war)”, Paloka said, adding that the same police will continue to be on April 25 as well, but facing them will be the same people that today has taken the streets.
