Deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Edmond Spaho rejected as “fairy tales” Taulant Balla’s statement that 2000 apartments in Durrës were actually a gift to Premier Edi Rama from the Crown Prince of Dubai.

Spaho, former head of the Democrat parliamentary group reacted after the declaration of his former Socialist homologue.

"Fairy tales! Disgusting licking of Rama! The United Arab Emirates declared on the Donors Conference last February they would build 2000 apartments in Albania for the affected from the earthquake. If Rama was such a nice man, he could have closed the agreement right then”, Spaho said.

“One year after the earthquake they are speaking about his personal commitment, like he built the houses with his own money, when in reality he has only delayed the agreement with a country friendly to Albania and one of the main donors for the reconstruction after the earthquake of November 26 2019”.
