Albanian Premier Edi Rama has attacked and insulted as “irresponsible” a doctor that expressed her concern over the lack of elementary necessities such as gloves, masks or tap water in the Health Center 8 in the capital Tirana. After the Democratic Party (PD) spread the recording of the conversation that shows the scandalous conditions in which the Albanian doctors work, especially facing the danger of the coronavirus outbreak, Rama reacted today by insulting the doctor only because she required the most elementary requirements for a health center.

Rama claimed the reality is not the one heard in the recorded conversation, but the one he watches on his private television when he visits the hospitals and the health centers.

“One irresponsible woman spoke yesterday whether there is alcohol or there isn’t alcohol. Of course, there are problem, but that is not a part of the reality. It is playing with the people’s psychology”, Rama said today.
