The leaders of Western Balkans countries, accompanied by Albanian Premier Edi Rama, have visited today the areas affected by the earthquake of November 26 in the county of Durrës. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, and North Macedonian Premier Zoran Zaev watched the rubbles from near and listened to Rama’s explanations about the reconstruction plans of the Albanian government.

The three leaders are in Albania to participate in the third summit of the mini-Schengen pact for the free movement of people and goods among the region countries.

Serbian President Vucic was received with protests in Tirana upon his arrival on Friday.

The region leaders expressed immediately their solidarity with Albania at the wake of the devastating earthquake that killed 51 persons. The rescue teams from these countries, especially from Serbia, worked side by side with teams from Albania and Kosovo to rescue the survived and get out the victims from under the rubbles.
