Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha has made a heavy allegation against vice premier Erion Braçe. Berisha says Braçe and Fred Kokoneshi, the Mayor of Divjaka, Braçe’s electoral zone, stand behind the shooting against Durrës prosecutor Arian Ndoja last Friday. Berisha brings a testimony from an anonymous source.

According to Berisha, the source has seen Braçe and Kokoneshi in a bar in Lushnja and then has overheard Kokoneshi saying he’d like to see “that prosecutor going down”.

“How dares he go against us?”, Kokoneshi is quoted as saying, referring to Braçe’s and Premier Rama’s recent verbal attacks against the prosecutor.

The source also begs Berisha not to reveal his identity because he would now like “to have the fate of many people murdered here”.
