Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party Edi Paloka said the registration of the candidates of the new party Bindja Demokratike for the election of June 30 was “disgusting” and ordered by Premier Edi Rama. Paloka wrote Rama helped register the new party with “forged signatures” and enrolled it for the elections by violating the electoral law and the Constitution.

“The show in the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) would be hilarious had it not been dramatic”, Paloka wrote today.

“The most ridiculous parliament in time and space, the ‘Renaissance’ Parliament, addressed an official letter to KQZ ‘proving’ that one of the deputies (from those that entered via the Democratic Party lists but represent no one)  according to the Electoral Code has been an MP of Bindja since at least six months”.

“The so-called party hasn’t made a month yet that was registered by Rama, the ‘deputy’ in case hasn’t completed a months since taking the mandate, but this does not stop the Renaissance parliament to lie about a well-known fact”.

“All this takes place in front of the cameras and the farce goes ahead like normality. The cooker of all this does not understand (or pretends not to) that by trying to make the elections farce legitimate by adding another farce, he only makes the invention of the ‘opposition’ more evident”.

“The champion of the elections violation cannot have another behavior. That’s why the opposition is in the streets and demands his resignation as a primary condition for free and fair elections”.

“However, only one thing matters and is clear: with or without the fake opposition, the farcical election of June 30 will not happen because this is what has been decided by the real opposition which today represents the absolute majority of the Albanians”.
