German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas told Albanian Premier Edi Rama more action and less word is needed considering Albania’s European perspective. Mr. Maas said in a joint press conference after the meeting that “the European perspective is not words only, if you want to continue the in this road you must fulfill he conditions”.

The chief of the German diplomacy declared reforms are necessary for the opening of negotiations between EU and Albania.

“EU decided on the possibility to open the negotiations in June 2019, but first the reforms are needed. There are controversies or resistance in the process that need to overcome. Albania has Germany’s support”, Maas said.

Premier Rama thanked Germany for its role in the integration process of the Western Balkan countries.
