Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha talked with party members in Tirana, saying the process of June 25 elections legitimized the Democrats’ causes of the war on drugs and decriminalization.

“Four years of battles against an opponent that has become one with crime and against crime that has become one with the power. The criminals in the institutions, along with Edi Rama, started the political project of covering Albania with drugs. It was a political project because it intended to cover the economic failure”, Basha said. “It had one goal only, to seize the electoral process”.

Basha added the Democrats have the moral and values to return hope to Albanians.

“It was us who refused to put the interests of our power above the interest of the citizens. We refused the crime’s extended hand to cooperate. No one has  the moral but the Democrats, we are the only ones who were born with values, fight for values, stand for values and offer values to the Albanians: the value of freedom, democracy, free economy, trust in God, free speech”.
