Albania and Italy signed today a memorandum of cooperation in the area of justice and fight against terrorism and organized crime.

Albanian minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj and her Italian counterpart Andrea Orlando said one of the key points was the execution of the foreign Courts rulings on the sequestration and confiscation of illegitimate wealth.

"Italy, in addition to being one of our most strategic partners in the region, is the country with which Albania has had a very intensive cooperation in the area of international judiciary cooperation”, Ms. Gjonaj said.

“We signed a very important memorandum of cooperation in the area of justice, within the framework of the implementation of the Judiciary Reform”.
