Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta responded to Premier Edi Rama’s statement that the supporters of the Democratic Party must fall asleep and shouldn’t even bother to cast their votes on the administrative elections of May 14. Meta, whose party is in alliance with Sali Berisha’s Democratic Party, said the election’s boycott would mean the remaining in power of the Socialist Renaissance that would continue to steal the state budget.
"Rama is quite clear about his disastrous results and of the puppets he installed at the municipalities, that’s why he urges the Democrats to sleep on May 14, like he did the other day in Kavaja”, said Meta. “There will be no sleep in the last four days, we will turn the nights into days instead. Everyone must become part of the change. Those who don’t vote have no right to complain tomorrow, even less than those who sell their votes”.
The former President of Albania reminded to the citizens that “casting your votes is a constitutional and patriotic obligation”.
