Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha appealed to Albanian doctors and nurses to rally in protests against Edi Rama’s government which is destroying the healthcare system.

“They are watching the system collapse before their own eyes. They must rise powerfully”, Berisha, a former cardiologist, said today in the meeting of the Democrat parliamentary group.

“In the pandemic year we were among the four countries with the highest mortality rate in the world. It happens because we are under the rule of ignorant persons like him and the minister of health. They left the doctors without protection, without masks, creating epidemiologic bombs”.

“It’s time for doctors, nurses, sanitary personnel, to mobilize. Why should they earn 50-60% less than their colleagues in Kosovo? It happens because millions of Euros are disbursed daily to their waste incinerators company. This company belongs to the ministers”, said Berisha.

“He (Rama) says there’s no money. There is no money because he pays 6 million Euros for the satellites, 4 million for a wooden installation like no one else in the world. I’ve never heard about a sultan or a dictator pay 4 million Euros for his eye”.
