The Albanian citizens will rally again in Tirana this evening to protest against the government’s silence after the tragedy in Potam, Himara, where a little girl, 7, was killed last week after being hit in the beach by a speedboat driven by an off-duty police officer.

The citizens have requested the dismissals of Interior Minister Bledi Çuçi, Miniter of Tourism Mirela Kumbaro, and General Director of the State Police Gledis Nano.

Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha wrote he fully supports the protest and the citizens’ requests.

“The arrogant Edi Rama is defending himself, his family’s Çuçi, and Kumbaro, refusing the citizens’ requests. Today at 19:30 the citizens will protest for the dismissals of Çuçi, Kumbaro, and Nano. I express my full support to the protest and the citizens’ request”, wrote Berisha.
