Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj attacked Albanian President Ilir Meta today in the Socialist Party’s Congress, saying he wastes his time half drunk behind counters and declaring war to the United States. The Socialist Party Congress started today at 9:30 in non-traditional way, taking place in five two-your separate outdoors panels in five squares of the Albanian capital Tirana.

Representatives of the ruling Socialist Party will meet members and citizens to talk about current problems,

Veliaj, the politic leader for the county of Tirana, started by attacking President Meta.

"If Ilir Meta wastes his time behind counters, half drunk, declaring war to America, we need someone that can heal these wounds and we can behave like a serious state”, Veliaj said. “We cannot be an important at the Prime Minister level and an enemy (of US) at the President level. This cannot happen, because in a serious country there is a line to be followed in a relationship and in a special rapport. Any president, man or woman, that is diametrically opposite to these anomalies would bring to normality the institution at the other side of the boulevard (the President’s Office).
