Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha promised in Kukes today to remove the beam on the Nation Road once he wins the elections.  

Basha visited Kukes today, where he was welcomed by hundreds of supporters. He promised the citizens the toll on the Nation Road that connects Albania with Kosovo will be removed.

"Brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen! Look at that beam for another three weeks only. On April 25, Albania votes for change, Kukes votes for change. And the first change for every Albanian from Konispol to Podujeva will be the removal of that beam. It has not been long since that moment that filled our hearts with a belief as a citizen of a nation that built the longest tunnel in the Balkans that connected Albania with Kosovo”, Basha said.

“For years, the one who for two and a half weeks will leave with the most massive vote demanding change, did nothing, but instead put sticks in Kosovo’s wheels, destroyed our economy, reduced economic-political relations to the lowest level. We built the road, he put the toll. The vote on April 25 for us is a vote for the removal of the beam. For the boys and girls of Kukës to work and live with dignity, and to become an economic, university and national pride center for Albania and Kosovo. Thank you,” said Basha.
