Democratic Party deputy chairman Edi Paloka reacted after Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj and father of Klodian Rasha, the 25-year-old man that was murdered by a police patrol on December 8, planted an olive tree to honor the memory of the police victim.

Paloka wrote Veliaj did it as a distraction from his implication in the mafia affairs.

“Oh poor father, you should know he did not plant that tree in memory of your son, but because he is looking by all means to distract attention from the scandal of his links to mafia”, Paloka wrote.

The Democrat deputy chairman also addressed a question to Veliaj: “Will you plant any tree for Ardi Gjoklaj, you filthy man?”
