Albanian journalist Juxhin Mustafaraj reacted after police used teargas in at least four different locations during the protest in Tirana.

The teargas was used first at the prime ministry, then at the ministry of the interior, at the Municipalty, and Skënderbej square.

“Only police cannot be considered the one we had. Poison and bullets against the citizens. Terrible!”, Mustafaraj wrote.

Another journalist, Vehap Kola, was indignant with people that were complaining for the burned Christmas tree.

“One of the achievements of the protest was tearing off the hypocritical mask of celebrations in front of the prime ministry and the municipality. The decorations, trees and lights in the time of pandemic and, from yesterday, in the time of mourning after a police murder are unbearable cynicism. Those trees and decorations could have helped tens of Albanians that died because they could not afford Covid medication. Please God, make life a living hell to these scoundrels that are making a living hell the lives of Albanians”, Kola wrote.
