Albanian President Ilir Meta has posted a meme on his Facebook page today to illustrate his declaration of a day before that the “President’s office is an invincible fortress in defense of the Constitution”.
A few minutes ahead of his meeting with the Commission of Venice, Meta posted a picture showing a castle under siege from those the Head of State names as the Renaissance, the named used by Albanian Premier Edi Rama after his Socialist Party win in the 2013 elections.
“The President of the Republic will be in his office till July 24, 2022; in a castle and invincible fortress in defense of the Constitution”, Meta said in a TV interview. “Let them try any interpretation by anyone. This story is over. I will appeal to all Albanians to defend the Constitution and I have made that clear”.
