A phone conversation between the President’s spokesman Tedi Blushi and an official of the Italian embassy is under inquiry by the Albanian prosecution office. On Thursday, Syri.net reported that Blushi was threatened by an official of an embassy due to a post on his Facebook page. The report was later confirmed by President Ilir Meta who announced the start of an immediate inquiry on the incident because Blushi was threatened in his capacity as the spokesman of the President.

“The guarantors of Dvorani’s illegitimate and Mafioso acts received the official response last night in a very responsible conversation of the Head of State. The Smoke of Venice spread per Rama’s order by Agaçi’s leaving ambassador is the latest shame of the diplomatic structured group in Tirana, accomplice in the systematic violation of the Judiciary Reform aiming its full capture by Edi Rama’s monist regime”, Blushi wrote on his Facebook page.

In the second sentence of Blushi’s post is not mentioned the name of “Agaçi’s leaving ambassador”. Agaçi is prime ministry’s secretary general and has been often accused by the opposition of doing the dirty jobs of the Prime Minister, while a few days ago it was Italian Ambassador Alberto Cutillo that proposed a solution to the conflict for the members of the Constitutional Court in the Venice Commission.

A few minutes after Blushi’message was published in the online media, he received a phone call on his mobile phone. Sources from the prosecution said Blushi first spoke to an official of the Italian embassy then to an Albanian that was introduced as a high official. Both were partly introduced, only with given names, and both asked him to delete his Facebook post, giving him a deadline of 30 minutes.

The President’s Office requested by the Prosecution Office to verify the phone call, claiming it had threatening content and, if elements of criminal offences are found, it must start the investigation.
