The Albanian Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) will gather on November 1 to discuss the verifications of the prosecution office concerning Agim Kajmaku, the Mayor of Vora. The KQZ announcement comes only a few hours after the Democratic Party (PD) requested the immediate dismissal of Kajmaku.

PD Secretary General Gazmend Bardhi said the prosecution has confirmed the accusations of the Democratic Party against Kajmaku, claiming his fingerprints are matching those of Jorgo Tota, an alias he used during his staying in Greece. Kajmaku, aka Tota, was arrested in Greece over use and distribution of fake banknotes which is punishable with ten years in prison by the Greek law. According to PD, this proves that Kajmaku has lied in the form of decriminalization, hiding his arrest and inquiry in Greece. After being released by Greek police waiting for trial, Kajmaku returned to Albania and escaped imprisonment since the Greek forbids convictions in absentia for serious crimes.

Sa transparent qe jemi. Vendimi dihet. Per KQZ qe kemi qelibar vendimi do dal, si gjithe te tjerat vendime, asgje ne perputhje me ligjin, me te vetmin ndryshim qe tani edhe nderkombetaret e shikojne hapur vendimin.
