Albanian President Ilir Meta has proposed a solution to the political crisis in Albania. Insisting on the fact that the illegitimate local elections are scheduled on October 13, according to his Decree of June 27, Meta also proposed for parliamentary and presidential elections on the same date.

“Let’s have general and presidential elections too on October 13”, Meta said, challenging the Prime Minister Edi Rama.

“Edi Rama may nominate any candidate he wants. This is the way out of this dangerous crisis. Let’s make Albania a European country, where no one violates the laws and the institutions and let’s turn back the emigrants too. This is the solution I offer. If the Albanian people do not vote for me, I will mindmy own business”.
