Employees of the Albanian administration are facing the threats to be fired unless they go and vote the elections for the local government next Sunday.
Albanian Premier Edi Rama is determined to go ahead with the elections in the face of the President Ilir Meta’s Decree of June 10 which revoked the former Presidential Decree that set June 30 as the elections date.
In addition to verbal orders to go and vote, the Socialist Party has spread forms where the names that vote will be written and also the “guarantees” they give for their votes for the Socialist candidates.
Voters in Albania are marked with non-washable ink on their thumbs once they vote in the polling stations and anyone who will not have the mark after on Monday will be fired.
